Wells Fargo Bank ( WFB ). I scheduled my mortgage payment like I do every month. I find today that two mortgage payments have been debited to my checking account and an additional one ( for 3 total ) is pending. I only authorized one payment from online bill pay at WFB from my checking account. I keep my balance at checking balance at WFB at - dollar over my mortgage amount of $1100.00. When I talked to the banking side of WFB they said one came from bill pay and one from an auto-pay on the mortgage side. WFB bank side transfers me to WFB mortgage side. WFB mortgage claims one payment was from their bill pay service ( which is the one I authorized ), one was entered online on their mortgage site ( I did not do thsi and am unaware that this could/can be done ). WFB mortgage also claims there is no auto=pay which the WFB baking side said was there and show no pending payment ( see atatched screen shot image ). The problem is that the second payment caused an overdraft transfer from my credit card with WFB. If the third pending also hits it will generate another overdraft. This seems to be more of the shady business practices of WFB. Although I have not seen any fees associated with these over draft transfer yet I suspect I will. At any rate it seems WFB has no idea what one hand or the other is doing and just pulls explanations out of thin air. They should at least consult on what lie there going to tell a customer. I never, NEVER use auto-pay on anything. WFB can see that I have been making my mortgage payment using their bill pay service and that I keep $100.00 in the checking account. Can you rattle their cage please?
