Other bank product/service Making/receiving payments, sending money California
I set up recurring bill pay with Citibank through my checking account to pay my cable bill every month. In -/-/-, I went in to Citibank branch and asked verbally and in writing for the recurring bill pay to stop as I was about to move -/-/-. I thought that giving them - weeks notice would be sufficient. Citibank, however, failed to put through the request. In -/-/-, - months later, the cable bill amount was still being deducted and sent to AT & T. I was no longer living there and the new tenants were having a difficult time setting up their cable in their names as I was still being charged cable for that apartment. I have spend countless hours trying to resolve this. Citibank says I need to deal with AT & T, but AT & T says I have to take up the issue with Citibank. They each claim the other is responsible for returning to me the money. I have spent hours on the phone and in person with both companies and now have no idea what to do.
