I have contacted Security Finance several times in an effort to have them report correctly to the credit bureau that the account I had with them does not have a balance. According to my credit report they continuously verify the account as showing a $900.00 balance. I recently spoke with a representative at the -, AL office that informed me that the account reflected a $0.00 balance and was agreed to be listed as paid in full and is listed in their system under bankruptcy filings. However, that is not the case as it reflects on my credit report. The representative also informed me that the system in which they report to the credit bureaus has been inoperative since -/-/2016. I questioned them and asked if the system is not working, how could they possibly be reporting correct information. I did n't get a response. According to the FCRA reporting false information to the credit bureaus is against the law and is rights for me to collect up to $1000.00 per violation. I have informed them numerous times reporting inaccurate information is unfair to me as a consumer and they are diminishing my credit history on purpose.
