My complaint is directed toward Popular Community Bank cancellation policy, I closed my account -/-/- and received a statement -/-/-. I called the bank to verify if my account was closed. I was told both of my accounts were never closed, and the withdrawal slips states it was supposed to be -/-/- I called Popular Community Bank after I received a statement -/-/- and was to the account was still open, a Auto Charge was placed on my account and NSF Fee $34.00. My 2nd account was opened -/-/- The representative stated that I will have to file a claim to have charges removed 1st and my 2nd account was both accounts were closed the same time, Popular Bank Rep told me she will place in a claim on the 2nd checking so that I am not charged to close the 2nd account. No transaction had taken place on 2nd account.
