Experian Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Personal information California
I am an employee that was affected by the 2015 OPM background investigation breach. I have tried to sign up for credit monitoring services provided by the Government through an agency called -. When I tried to sign up for my account, I was advised by the customer representative that creditor Experian has incorrect information about me in my credit report and that my account can not be opened until this error is fixed. It was not clear to me exactly what this error is, but the customer representative for - mentioned something about my Social Security Number being too similiar to another individual 's. I have tried to obtain my free credit report through the official website and also tried calling Experian customer service to resolve this, but they are always telling me to mail them at their address with money enclosed to pay for my credit report. Since I am not responsible for this error, I do not believe I should pay any money to get this resolved.
