Credit card Communication tactics Frequent or repeated calls Maryland
I have been receiving numerous calls from a blocked number the past few days. This evening the number finally left me a message. The caller stated she was calling from Bank of America on an important servicing matter. Her name is - -. In her message she said she wanted to discuss options that may benefit me however my input is needed on this matter and to call her back to discuss the options. I figured this was regarding my Bank of America checking account so I called the number she left me back. I spoke to a different representative and they told me there were no options to discuss and that this was an attempt to collect a debt. Not once was it mentioned in the message that this was an attempt to collect a debt or that it was related to my credit card. It was misleading. I already have an agreement with Bank of Americas collections department and have been paying the agreed to amount for the past 5 months.
