Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Maryland

On -/-/- I received an overdraft fee of - , from Sun Trust despite denying overdraft coverage on -/-/2016. By denying overdraft coverage I wanted my card to stop processing transactions and be denied at the retail institution. This did not happen. I went into the Sun Trust bank located on - - - -, - -, MD - around - and the Branch manager - - refused to reimburse me the overdraft fee.
