Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I have a TJ Maxx credit card and every single time I check my account online it makes me change my password. I put in my user name, confirm the picture used as another security benefit, enter my password and after all of these are completed. It makes me answer security questions, enter my credit card number, and lastly, change my password which can not be a previous password. I check my account from several computers/mobile devices and do not always have the card with me. When I go to pay my bill, I am denied access because I dont have my card/account # and denied because my password is incorrect. Which have subsequently caused me late charges on more than one occasion.I have called and sent messages to the company ( and synchrony bank ). I am now paid in full and trying to cancel my account and realized again, my credit card is at home. I have entered the correct password, confirmed photo pin, username and security question ( I know this because If i enter an incorrect password/username/answer it doesnt alow me to continue to the next screen ). But can not close my account which has now put me in a fit of anger to send this complaint. I am to blame for the small mistake of not having my card on me at all times, but that is a little insane to have me jump through - different security obstacles and still be denied. I am not seeking monetary reimbursement for late fees but anything that looks negative on my credit report I would like reviewed and changed
