I am the executor of my late mother 's estate, - - -. I am in the process of distributing the assets in her account to her heirs, me and my brother. The attorney handling her estate advised that a " distribution in kind '' be done to prevent incurring any tax liability. I contacted their investor services twice to determine what the proper process and procedure is to affect this change. On both occasions I was advised that I had to use a Wells Fargo advisor in order to do this. None of the other mutual funds that she has require me to do this. I feel that this is Wells Fargo 's way of generating more income by imposing fees just for filling out paper work.
