Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay Texas

I had a Citibank card that was used and paid on time until we had a fraud issue with our bank account. This caused a delay in payment that was communicated to Citibank. I was told by Citibank that they would not report to the credit bureau, but in fact they did. That report brought my credit down significantly and I would like it reversed. I am going through a divorce and need my credit to be in shape in order for me to be approved for a home loan that will issue me and my children a way to stay in our community. Any help with this matter would be sincerely appreciated.
