I have had a credit account with The Swiss Colony for years. I only really use it at - time to send - gifts to friends and family. I get catalogs from them all the time and right in the front of the catalog is a page that tells you what your credit limit is and what the payment will be if you charge that much. My current credit limit is $1200.00. I have not used any of it as I paid the card off earlier in the year. I have never charged more then a couple hundred bucks on it ever in any case. I decided to use it again this year to order 4 products to send to my husband 's family. I placed the order on - and sent it off as I have done every year for years. I assumed my order would be processed and sent out as it has always been. I checked on the order around the - and found out that they had decided that my credit limit was reached and that I needed to send it a check for the full amount of the order which was around $150.00 - and


or turning down the order until I called in. Magically several days after that I did receive a letter telling me that they would not honor the order and that I needed to pay the amount of the order in order to have it sent out. It was too late for me to reorder anything else and so I just told them to cancel the order. I have written a letter to them including the credit info but also told them I would report them to your agency. I do not think it is right when a customer has been a good customer for years and has paid their bills and paid the account off, only to find that you have been cut off with notice before you place an important - order. I do not like their non-loyalty of a customer or their lackadaisical attitude of notifying a customer of what is happening when you assume that things are happening and that gifts you have ordered will be taken care of as they always had been when previously ordering from this same company. I do n't think it is right to tell a person they have $1200.00 of credit only to change that at the eleventh hour and not make sure that give that person time to reorder or make a decision regarding that order.
