I contacted American Express today to find out why I did not receive the - refer a friend points, as promised by a previous customer service representative. Unfortunately, this was the WORST customer service experience EVER! I initiated the call with - ( Agent ID - ). - was ARGUMENTATIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND -! - REFUSED to allow me to speak with a manager and she REFUSED to provide me with a contact number for the corporate office in the United States. However, she did allow me to speak with her supervisor - ( Agent ID - ). Unfortunately, - 's customer skills are WORST than - 's. Like -, - REFUSED to let me speak with an English-speaking manager in the United States and he REFUSED to issue the - points. However, - did provide me with a fax number and mailing address for AME-. Why do I need to write a letter? Why ca n't I pick up the phone and speak to someone? I did not have to write a letter to apply for this sorry - credit card! Nonetheless, when I asked to speak with a manager, - transferred me to - ( Agent ID - ). - was E-TREMELY RUDE! She stated there are procedures to follow to get the - points. I told - I followed the procedures to the best of my ability, as they were extremely vague. - continued to TALK OVER ME and REFUSED to help. Therefore, I asked to speak with a manager in the United States. - transferred me to - ( Agent ID - ). - REFUSED to help me. She REFUSED to give the contact information for the regional manager " because they do not take calls. '' Also, - REFUSED to give me a contact number for AME- Corporate Office. - stated she is in - -, - and she is the highest person that I can speak with. I told - I am going to contact the - and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. - stated, " Whatever suits you. ''
