My husband - - lost his wallet and there were some unauthorized charges on our debit cards from Citi bank. On -/-/2016 we disputed all unauthorized charges from our Citi bank debit cards. There were unauthorized withdrawals from my personal debit card and my husband 's business debit card. Our disputes were dismissed twice. Then my husband filed an appeal and a complaint to CFPB. On -/-/2016 he received a letter from Citibank that the charges were unauthorized and the final credit was issued to him. - -. On -/-/2016 I filed an appeal regarding my claim. Today I found out that they dismissed my dispute. I called the bank immediately and requested an explanation why my husband 's claim was approved and my claim dismissed. They could not provide with any explanation. To clarify - my card was in my husband 's wallet when it was lost. I was with my husband in - -. We faxed all supporting documents requested by Citi bank several times and filed a police report. They provided me with - different dispute numbers for the same dispute, and they were calling my husband cell regarding my dispute instead of calling me. Why were they calling him for my personal account dispute? There is a miscommunication within the departments of the bank and a poor customer service. After I submitted the appeal nobody contacted me and tried to solve my issue. I am appealing this decision of - as it is not fair and it is against The Fair Credit Billing Act ( FCBA ) and the Electronic Fund Transfer Act ( EFTA ) otherwise I have to file a formal complaint to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and make my issue public. I have never authorized these transactions.
