Installment loan Managing the loan or lease New York
I obtained a Home Depot Project Loan card through - Financial in -/-/2016. The loan was interest only for - months, then balance would convert to a fixed payment for - months at - %. The - month 's invoice dated -/-/2016 showed that I owed $130.00. After the promotion expiration date of -/-/2016, I received a " - of Account at - '' showing that my principle balance was $20000.00 and finance charges of $130.00. Copied verbatum from this statement " The new monthly payment was calculated as follows : - of $20000.00 amortized over - months at - % : $320.00. - of $130.00 divided by - payments : $1.00. New Monthly Payment : $320.00 ''. Statement dated -/-/2016 states that my new monthly payment is $320.00 with a due date of -/-/2016. I received a call on -/-/2016 stating that I was - days late for not making the $130.00 interest charge from the -/-/2016 statement. I feel that I did n't owe the $130.00 because it was added into my loan. I was told by -, supervisor, that the $130.00 was still owed whether it was or was n't added into the loan. I then was
me at it did n't say " divided ''. - stated " After you received this statement, the $130.00 was waivered. The statement was sent in error. '' I never received a corrected statement. I feel like I 'm being charged $130.00 twice. Either I owed it from the -/-/2016 statement or it was added to the monthly payment. NOT BOTH After about - minutes of this nonsense, I asked what the payoff would be. The answer was $21000.00, which is $140.00 more than the principle balance of $20000.00 and interest of $130.00. I told him that I would be paying it off in full on -/-/2016, but did n't have the money to pay the $130.00 before it was - days late and reported on my credit report. I asked him if he would n't report to the credit bureau and I was told that it was federal law that I be reported. I had to borrow the money to make the payment to keep the late payment of my otherwise clean credit. - told me that he did n't need to see my statement because every loan was done the same. This raises a red flag. Is everyone being charged the last month 's interest twice?
