Amex Credit card department,
In the - 2016 I applied for an American Express Gold Delta Sky Miles Card. The card application offered - Delta Sky Miles. My Application was immediately accepted. On - - 2016 I received an email confirming that my Application had been approved. Upon receipt of the card I began using it and satisfied the obligation to use the card to make purchase within the first couple of months. In the summer I checked my Delta Sky Miles account and the - miles never were posted. I called American Express ( or - ) and the phone call was answered my a representative who I took to be a phone operator in a foreign country. The conversation was " strange and unusual '' and I was told that I had been sent a letter saying that I was not eligible for the - miles. I waited for several weeks and i never received any letter or notice that I was ineligible for the miles. I called American Express again
but that the new card was a Gold Delta SkyMiles Card and that I was indeed eligible for the - miles. Best on this assurance I started using the card again and then checked my SkyMiles account. Again no miles! So I called again and was told that I was not eligible and they had no record of the call with the represenative who told me I was eligible. I objected to this position and they stated that they would open an investigation and get back to me. To date I have had no response. I have asked for an address where I could lodge a formal complaint but I get no response.
