Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card Arizona
I applied for a care credit account -/-/2015 for -. That account was not closed but was paid off. On -/-/- I recirved a care credit master card in the mail. Called to inquire because I had never ordered or requested a card. The representative advised me that this account was open for me and card sent because they upgraded my account to a MasterCard. I was surprised to hear that I had - accounts open with them. As I only opened - last year. When questioned, the representative advised me that this second account was opened for me last month. I cancelled - accounts. They were not authorized to open that second account. I am upset by this it appears an employee may have opened this fraudulently without my knowledge. In addition, I was not aware a card was coming so someone could have taken my mail and activated it. This is a very sketchy and unsafe practice. I would appreciate if someone could look into Care Credits business practices for opening accounts.
