Citibank Credit card department,
On - -, 2016 I closed my Citi ThankYou Premier account. The auto-generated message said that I will have 60 days from the date of closure to redeem ThankYou Points. I have called to inquire about the rule since I had an open Citibank ThankYou Prestige card under the same account. I was told that since points were transferred to another current account I have 90 days to use whichever points were earned on the closed account and given that the points are pooled I will see a message under 'my summary ' with exactly the number of points I have expiring and when. I have checked on -/-/2016 and there was no message alerting me of points expiration. Today I have logged in to redeem the points for a flight and I see that - ThankYou points are gone from my account : -.
