Citibank Credit card department,
Hi, I hold the Citi - Credit Card. As per the card features stated on the company 's website I am supposed to - 5 - loyalty points for every - that I will spend on airline tickets directly with the airline. I spend - ( as - separate transactions of - - and - - ) on buying air tickets with a - based airline called - directly through their website. Citi is refusing to credit me the required points for this transaction at a rate of - points per - spent and is instead awarding me only - points per - spent. When I inquired they are saying that the airline has not classified its business under the correct airline code so they can not give me any bonus points even though they know that the spent was done at an airline. This is really unfair because I as a consumer can never know which business has classified themselves as an airline or otherwise. All I know is that I am spending the money at an airline and I should be rewarded - bonus points for the spent done with them in line with the promise that Citi made to be at the time of selling the product to me.
