Citibank Credit card department,
I was really hoping Macy 's had changed their bizarre practice of charging - dollars after a balance is satisfied. I 've had a Macy 's card previously ( and currently ), paid the - dollars after my total balance is settled, only to be charged - dollars in subsequent months. When I 've called in the past, it has been explained as interest for the first month, and then a " mistake '' in the following months. The only way to stop the charge is to call and ask for it to be credited back - and then I get charged again in the following month. I have found the most effective way to deal with this fee is to cancel the card completely. Luckily, I pay attention to my bills. If I were another consumer who did n't, Macy 's unfairly sets them up for late fees and additional charges that can impact their credit score. Thank you, -
