I was victim of ID fraud from -. - has confirmed via phone and also sent me correspondence agreeing the account opened with my information was not authorized by me. I initiated a dispute with Equifax and received the final disposition that the information was " Inquiries are a factual record of file access. If you believe this was unauthorized, please contact the creditor. If you have additional questions about this item please contact : - -, - - -, -, DE - Phone : ( - ) - '' I have contacted - again to have this inquiry removed. Additionally I can find no way to dispute with Equifax via writing, email or via phone. The only selection is to file a new complaint or get status. This is an abysmal process. It is obvious from the recent activity my personal information has been part of a compromise and therefore is now being used to attempt fraud but the bureau has done a cursory review and did not even validate with -.
