Citibank Consumer Loan department,
Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay Washington
Due to circumstances out of my control I got behind on my line of credit w Citibank. I called them upwards of 100 times to try and restructure my loan while I continued to make payments. They suggested that I apply for a loan modification but conveniently over a year went by and each time I submitted documentation they claimed to not receive all of it so I was constantly sending I 'm document after document only to be told that the previous documents had expired even though I had already sent in ALL required info. Conveniently everything was always 'lost ' and no human existed in the front in which the forms were sent to verify receipt. Very very sketchy. This went on for well over a year, possibly two. The answer was always some bs about how you had to qualify when the joke is that honestly probably no one ever qualified. They make zERO effort to help people who actually intend to pay money back and pay their bills and have no interest in making it right after the fact in terms of credit reporting or late charges which is fully in their control. Sadly the people who rarely pay their bills seem to have more privileges. What a world. I wrote to Citi explaining the situation and they could n't care less. Shocker. A - dollar company not caring about a lowly customer ... so uncommon for big banks to treat their customers poorly..hmmm ...
