Checking account Using a debit or ATM card California
I use Navy Federal Credit Union. They claim to offer fraud protection and to monitor accounts. I rarely use my debit card and pay for most things by my credit card. They have had excellent monitoring of my credit card. I was planning a trip - and notified them of my travel dates. While -, I kept my debit card in an - blocking sleeve and used it only three times. Although my debit card was never stolen, there were somehow ATM withdrawals from my checking account outside of my travel dates. These amounts totaled to over $4000.00 in withdrawals I did not authorize. When I contacted my bank to report the fraud, they rejected my claim. They stated that since I used the mobile application, I should have noticed the fraud earlier. The investigator, -, refused to speak to me.
