After I submitted a complaint to Wells Fargo then the CFPB about the misleading advertising on their Wells Fargo Rewards card, Wells Fargo responded to both and did not do anything except dismiss the claim and point to their lengthy terms and conditions as evidence they are in compliance with their own terms and conditions. Then on -/-/16, I received a statement from Wells Fargo showing that they forfeited - points on my Wells Fargo card because I complaint to the CFPB when I am not supposed to. I contacted Wells Fargo customer service and they told me the same thing and will have a floor manager contacted me within 5-7 business days to further explain the rationale the points forfeiture. It is unethical for Wells Fargo to punish a customer for raising a complaint about bad customer service or misleading adveristing.
