Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Missouri
I opened an account with my then boyfriend, - -, at the US Bank branch he - in - Illinois a couple years ago. I kept the account, even after we had broken up, as a savings vehicle. I rarely have more than $100.00 in this account. The last time I checked the account, there was less than $10.00. I received an e-mail alert about a new balance yesterday and checked my account. It 's in the - by $ -. US Bank will not help me. They refuse to refund the overdraft! They state that I signed a form that gave them authority to authorize purchases on my card, even if I did n't have the funds to back them up. They are refusing to give me a copy of the form I " supposedly '' signed that gave them this permission. Furthermore, they left the final decision in my ex-boyfriend 's court. He naturally denied to refund me the overdraft! I have tried to work with US Bank. I asked to close the account and they wo n't. Even after I have paid $150.00 towards the balance ( automatic debits that had the wrong information to draft from ), there are still overdraft fees to keep the account open. Every 8 days, they are going to charge me another $25.00 for the overdraft fees!
