I signed up for a Citigold checking account on - - under a promotional offer ( - ) that promised - - - miles after completing two requirements : $1000.00 dollars in qualifying debit card purchases and one ( 1 ) or more qualifying bill payments for two ( 2 ) consecutive calendar months, with all requirements to be completed within sixty ( 60 ) days of account opening. When I first opened the account, I had a call with a Citibank representative regarding an issue with funding the account ; I was unable to fund the account in the manner that was originally advertised, but she did confirm my enrollment in the promotional offer as stated above. I completed the requirements and reached out to Citibank to confirm ;


receive my points. After many months and further inquiries, Citibank finally told me they would open an " investigation '' regarding the points I was due. The conclusion of the investigation was that I would not be receiving my points despite being eligible under the terms and conditions and meeting the requirements for the promotion. Unfortunately, I did n't save all of the documentation ( mostly secure messaging and chats ) since I was getting positive information from Citibank a majority of the time ( " yes, you 're enrolled '', " yes, you qualify '', " yes, you 've met requirements '', " yes, you 'll be getting your points '' ) and I also did n't realize until it was too late that you have to actively save messages ( most other companies keep messages until they 're actively deleted ).
