Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't temporarily postpone payments Florida
Upon my filing for Chapter - bankruptcy, I was informed that the - students loans that I co-signed for my daughter - - - were taken out of deferment, closed then transferred to a collection acct. - is and has been, since original loan was taken out, at least a Part-time student and currently has federal loans that are in deferment and good standing, is currently a - with full deferment qualifications, with no lapses. These loans were taken out in -/-/- and -/-/- and should have reached there Statute of Limitation for reporting. We feel the transfer was performed as to re-start the Statute of Limitation time line. We, Myself and -, have on numerous occasion to try and negotiate with them, stating that we do n't understand why they were taken out of deferment at all. Our Credit has been tainted since this began and has caused, on numerous occasions, denial of credit/home loans.
