Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Ohio

In - 2016, I called US Bank regarding checking account. I asked them to stop all automatic withdrawal 's going into this account. I spent over a 1 and 1/2 hours on the phone with a representative who assured me all auto drafts were stopped. In - and - 2016, somehow I was again hit with payments from companies that I did not authorize. When I called and spoke with the representative I was told that I never called in and they could not do anything. I have made payments on the account to get the overdraft taken care of but US Bank has been adding interest and late fees to an account that supposedly has charged off or is closed. At this point, I am confused because now ( -/-/2016 ) I received a statement that has minimum payments of $ -/mo due on the - - and I can rack up late charges if I do n't comply! When the account was closed it was $350.00. Today, the bill I have in my hands says I owe a whooping $880.00 for a checking account and my statement says if I do n't pay by - -, 2016 I will get a $20.00 late fee. How is this possible a bank can keep adding charges to a checking account that should have been closed? How long can a bank add unnecessary fees to this account trying to bleed money from me? I am willing to pay the $350.00 ( personally, I should NOT have to pay a dime since I requested stop payment on this account before these charges were even added ) but anything more that than is absurd. They company is unreasonable and I hope that someone in your office can help me.
