Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I have an Amazon Store Card through Synchrony Bank. I am a recent - who took the - in -/-/-. Due to a overlap, I lost track of the time of the month and missed my payment. I have missed no other payments and have always been current. Resultantly, Synchrony Bank doubled my monthly payment, which I now can not afford. I am currently unemployed, being a recent student. I called Synchrony in an attempt to resolve this and was met with nothing but hostility and outright rudeness. I was told that my only option is to allow my account to lapse and write a mailing address that will take at least 30 days to process my request, at which point my account will be even further lapsed. They will offer no leniency and no meaningful solution. They will give me no details as to what options will be provided to me once I write to this address ( and seem to suggest that no relief will be provided ). All I asked for was flexibility, to allow me to pay my normal monthly rate and I was borderline mocked by their representatives. They have put me in a position where I have no choice but to fall further in debt and accumulate more late fees and interest.
