I received, yet again, a letter -/-/- from Specialized Loan Servicing requesting proof of insurance ( which they already had on file ). I went to the expense to fax and send certified mail on -/-/- the discharge of my first mortgage - since they already had both proofs of insurance. I received another letter from SLS on -/-/- requesting proof of insurance ( which they already had on file ). I, again, went to the expense of faxing and sending certified mail on -/-/-. I then received a letter from SLS stating that they purchased insurance on my behalf and were charging my account $950.00 and another $140.00 for insurance that they had no right to purchase in the first place as they already had copies of both insurance policies on file since - -. I have been harassed by this company every year for proof of insurance which they 've had on file. - and - always send copies of dec pages to mortgage holders. Every year they try to purchase insurance on my behalf and charge me an outrageous amount. In New Jersey, it is illegal to force a consumer to purchase more insurance than necessary.
