Home equity loan or line of credit Loan servicing, payments, escrow account Colorado

My husband and I had a mortgage loan with US Bank. We never paid the loan late. We paid the loan off on - -, 2016. However, the lien on our house has never been released. We have contacted the bank " a lot ''. The bankers are very nice. We have letters saying they are releasing the lien. However, - - we live in, - -, Colorado says the lien has not been released. We are concerned that if we just let this go the lien release will not be completed and we will have more problems in the future.
