Amex Credit card department,
Hello, On - -, 2016, I applied and was approved for an American Express - Card, which included a - point bonus after spending $10000.00. On - -, 2016, I completed the spending requirement and was awarded the - bonus. On several different dates over the next several months, I attempted to transfer points out of my account to various airlines. However, each time I was given an error message and told to call American Express. Each time I was told my account was " under review '' as I had recently completed a bonus award and those points " had to sit in my account '' for a certain period of time but I was never given a definite date the points would be available. Most recently, on - -, 2016, I once again attempted to transfer points out of my account and was given the same error message and the same explanation when I called American Express. However, this time they promised my points would be available for transfer on - -. Today, - -, I once again attempted to transfer points and once again when I spoke to American Express they said they would have someone look into it and call me back. This is unacceptable and a practice I 've heard they are doing to many others as well. Thank you, - -
