Discover Credit card department,
Closing/Cancelling account Florida
I reached out to several secure credit card companies to build my credit in - 2016. I made clear that the reason is to build my credit prior to filing bankruptcy in -. All - companies took my deposit and allowed me to make payments and began to build my credit but closed my accounts once I filed. They did not inform me prior to accepting my deposit of this practice of closing my accounts if I file for bankruptcy. I feel scammed because the purpose of starting the cards prior to filing is to be able to show positive credit history prior to filing bankruptcy. My hard earned money used for my deposit and all my on time payment history is gone with even informing me that the accounts were close. I was told when I called to make a payment or use the card. The companies are Discover IT, -, - -. I feel they should have made me aware of this policy prior to accepting my payments and I could have used a company that would allow me to keep the accounts after filing bankruptcy.
