I have been a Penfed Credit Union member over 8 years. I applied for $ - signature loan, was denied, and the reason was too high loan balance? No explanation was given. The only account I have with Penfed C.U. is a $ - -, with a balance the was was $ -, but has been paid down to $6700.00. My wife is a retired - with a - month pension and I am semi-retired with $1300.00 monthly Social Security and I work part-time as a - with $3500.00 monthly additional income. Our mortgage payment is - monthly, plus some smaller monthly payments.The Penfed phone employee did not listen to me and my reason for the installment loan request. I personally felt age discrimination. Please follow-up with Penfed.
