Citibank Credit card department,
My Macy 's American Express Credit card has been overcharging me for a cash advance since 2009. I have never received a statement of my balance for the cash advance and none of the payments I sent to Macys were ever applied to my balance. Now I just find out I am being charged a revolving charge for a cash advance that can only be paid only if I pay the entire balance. My total balance is $6500.00, of which apx. $1000.00 is for a cash advance. Macys told me I can not pay separately for my cash advance but I am being charged an extra $20.00 each month. This is gauging, fraud, double-dipping and plain whole stealing. Macys does not give the consumer a chance to pay their cash advance. When are the deceptive practices going to stop? Please have Macys remove this charged for the cash advance from my account, I would like a ledger of the daily interest charges for the cash advance and balance since 2009. Going forward, I need a monthly account of the cash balance if Macys refuses to remove the charge. I would like greater transparency for the consumer to let them know exactly the policy of the cash advance. I will not let this go, credit card companies are making people debt slaves and the government is condoning this behavior.
