My wife and I opened a CD account with - - on -/-/- for 2 years maturing on -/-/- for 1.45 %. On -, - Bank was closed in connection with the FDIC and began operating as Popular Community Bank . The conversion of accounts was scheduled for -/-/--/-/-. A Conversion guide was mailed to us. In the Conversion guide, it states that CD rates would earn the current rate until maturity. ( - ), in other words they would n't be changed. However, Popular Bank lowered the rate to 1.144 in - -, and did n't tell us. In addition, their web site does't show the rate of interest that is being paid.
