Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled Texas
I 've received a bill from American Education Services that states to date I 've paid on my private loan $43.00, - yet still owe - on a loan I pay $460.00 per month on for the past 10 years. If this were a federal loan I 'd have had it paid off by now however because it 's owned by American Education Services they can charge both interest rates and payments and thus I 'll be in debt for the next 40 years. - I have paid my debt on time every month however, if there has been a delay in their processing they have been threatening via email, and phone to myself and my mother and have threatened to take her home. I have no logs of these calls. But they happened.
