Discover Credit card department,
Closing/Cancelling account California
My credit card experienced unauthorized charges in - -. Discover did reverse all the charges, however several months after concluding their investigation and that I was not responsible they closed my credit card account. I request respectfully that they reconsider and re-open my credit card. The fraudulent activity in this matter appears to trace to an address in a crime stricken area of - - where I do not live and have never lived, about - miles away from me, and a proper investigation by - has proven that I have nothing to do with that address as well. The credit bureaus removed this fraud - - address from my reports, and placed a seven year fraud alert on my credit profiles which is done only in cases of ACTUAL identity fraud. Finally, a private investigator went to the fraud address in - - where the goods were apparently shipped, and investigator met with owner/landlord of that property verified that I had no connection to that property, that he had never seen me after being shown my driver 's license, and that I had never rented from him or been anywhere near that property to his knowledge. I went through a thorough review of my Discover account already and on - -, -, Discover 's executive office of consumer advocacy already reinstated my full credit line. After all this, Why is it that insult has been added to injury and my credit card closed when I have done nothing wrong?
