- submitted a collection to Helvey and associates saying I owed - dollars for a bill from - -. I have a copy of my bill from - for - -. The bill is -. We moved out of that house the -/-/-. I called - and was told the bill was transferred to my account by mistake. The bill belonged to a man named - -. I was told the transfer department would remove it and contact the collection company within 3 days. That did n't happen. I called back and was told I should have never been given the information as it was confidential. I was told the bill was mine as they had my social security number. I asked for an itemized copy of the bill and was told they could not give it to me. I was told the bill was from - and I would have to get a judge to give me a court order and a subpoena to get the bill because it was over 2 years old. I am trying to purchase a home and want my credit report corrected. Can you help me?
