Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Missouri
My boyfriend and I have an account with US Bank for about 4 years. At first we were extremely satisfied and often told our friends and family how great our bank was. But in the last year or so, it has become increasingly noticeable how many fees we have been charged. After minimal research online, I found US Bank has a history of reordering transactions to maximize their own profits. Last month alone we accrued nearly 15 % in bank fees/charges when compared to our household income. And for this year we have been charged a total of $2100.00. In - we decided to try a new bank that did n't have a reputation for immoral ( but apparently legal ) profiting strategies. We have yet to officially close out the account as we are still unsure about our new bank. Last month I wrote - checks out of the US Bank account and transferred funds to cover what was overdrawn and also enough to cover - of the checks and half of the other. But once again, the transactions were reordered, returned ( fee ), tried again, returned ( fee ), etc.. Until overdrawn ( fee ), returned, tried again, etc ... Now I have - outstanding checks and an overdrawn account ( including extended overdraft fees ). I am shocked by US Banks behavior and feel taken advantage of.
