I was shopping for a refinance loan and I made the mistake of giving the lender my credit card info for the appraisal if I decided to go with them and told him not to use it unless I gave my express permission. After sending him an email telling him we would not be moving forward until I had compared all offers he charged my credit card for the appraisal. At no time did we sign any documentation or give him permission to go forward. The credit has still not showed up on my credit card after he stated it was being refunded.
