I entered into a mutually agreed upon payment arrangement with - - - and made several timely payments as agreed. In - I made a payment to a representative over the telephone which was a few days past my due date so I called to make the payment personally. He told me no problem assured me the payment was applied and not to worry the payment arrangement is not affected pmnt went through. My account was sold to collection company Bay Area credit 1 week later and I was contacted by phone and bullied to enter the same arrangement with them. They assured me if I continued to pay as agreed on auto by from my checking account The collection would not be reported on my credit report so I did. They began taking different small amounts out the day before the agreed date in their name $5.00 then the pmnt amount the next day from a trust account name? The the statements I received started reflecting the balance growing not declining o called to complain many times their story always changing. After making 4 or 5 payments on time by auto pay so they could not be late the reported to credit report anyway costing me valuable points and going against their word. However the original debtor should not have been allowed to give to collection in the first place and I believe it is a violation of law and the collection company should be fired and the original debtor also for a violation of fair debt collection and my debt cancelled as I have paid by now.
