I requested that my checking and savings accounts at a previous bank ( Suntrust ) be closed. At the time of the request, they were both in good standing with - balance. My savings account was closed, but my checking account was not. Additional charges were posted to the account a week after the account should have been closed. Because of this, the account is now delinquent, and I can not close the account.
