AES has had a consistent habit of withholding information, giving vague or elusive responses and going so far as hanging up during phone calls after receiving a very sharp attitude. I have given ample evidence of my financial hardship and many of the incentive programs were not related to me, or at best were vaguely given, with a very harsh/dissuasive post-note. I receive conflicting information from customer service representatives, the methods of communication are not consistent and there is no quality representative I can speak to concerning the attitudes of the customer service reps. Overall, their quality of work is abysmal and their attitudes are unprofessional, contradictory, unhelpful, discouraging and even antagonistic. I feel that many opportunities ( such as IN SCHOOL FORBEARANCE ) has been avoided due to untrained staff relaying inaccurate information and I still have no idea what are my rights and promises under their assistance. To be quite honest, I find the weight of these loans **UNLIVABLE** and there are so few alternatives to repayment methods presented to me and such unprofessional responses when trying to investigate said methods, that self harm presents itself as the only viable solution. Emotive responses aside, the core of my problem is an untrained staff that does not present available options for their repayment services.
