I have a checking account that I ran low on checks with and wanted to get temporary checks issued at my local branch. I have been a member since 2005 and this has always been available. I went into the branch bank -/-/- and requested these temporary checks. I was told that BBT no longer offers this, not even for a fee. I was willing to pay, but just needed desperately temporary checks to avoid overdrafting my account. I was unable to get these checks and told they are no longer offered. I was very clear with my request. Around this time I filed a written complaint/s with the CFPB and - requesting information regarding this, as well as why my account was closed. I also requested contact by the local branch relating to the issue in person and by phone. I bank in -, MD. I received months later a written response from BBT headquarters, but still to this day, have not been contacted by the local branch managers. The issue is they do not know the rules pertaining. It feels like a - whenever I ask for anything out of the ordinary. It feels like I 'm doing


- ) - this morning around - EST. I asked the girl who deposited the money yet again, and was told temporary checks can not be offered. I leave without temporary checks and told BBT doesnt offer them. So then I called another branch, this one also in frederick at address : - - -, -, MD -. Phone : ( - ) -. I made the call using my cell phone of : -. This was done about - EST. The girl who answered at the - address assured me I could get temporary checks. I called back in conference, holding the line while the reps argued with each location on how I can do this ... cont : ... .continued complaint description : So now with the - - address on the line, I conference call another local BBT branch at address : - - - , - , MD -. Phone : ( - ) - and have the representative from - explain to them step by step how to issue temporary checks. They too had no idea and get combative. Nobody at this location knew how to do it, or if it is possible. Listen to the recorded call and hear the confusion. Please train your representatives. In fact, I can call and ask every branch in area this same question, even since they still do not offer me temporary checks. I was told in the past I am no longer profitable and they do not care if i take my services else ware. Today I spoke finally to the branch manager - and expressed my concern. She advised me there is a " learning curve '' for her employees. I speak clear english and can not help that -, the - lady, and others refuse to know the services offered and to assist. It was also informed to me in defense of the refusal of services that it is taught to the employees to discourage offering this service. I explained to - - that I sensed there was a wall up, but discouraging is different than flat out denial of services. These representatives flat out ignore and do not know temporary checks can be issued. How are they even licensed? Well there is no oversight. - - will hopefully fix this. Until then I want the bank to contact me with someone who is licensed and credible, not - foreign kids with attitudes who do not like my race being successful. This is what I feel, that BBT representatives hate me and no longer want my business. Make it right, refund fees, contact me, treat me like a person. TRAIN YOUR REPS. Appologize and offer me an appropriate resolve. They are clueless.
