Citibank Credit card department,
I received a letter earlier this year from - advising of the ending of their partnership with - - and that Citibank VISA would be the replacement. I called - immediately to ask if I would be given the option to decline this VISA card since the letter did not address this question. The - representative said I would be given that option prior to issuance of the card. On - - of this year I received a letter from Citibank that says my new Citibank VISA card will be mailed to me. I never received any notice or opportunity to decline this card prior to issuance. I immediately called Citibank and told them I do not want this card and I do not want a relationship with Citibank. Citibank said they could n't do anything about this card until I actually received it and then they could " try '' to cancel it. I am on the permanent opt out list for ALL credit offers, etc. and do not want another - card. I am disappointed to learn that Citibank through contract with - merely transferred my personal and financial information and automatically issued me a credit card without my permission to do so. I want to have the say over which company and which credit card I do business with just as I did when I originally applied for the - - - card.
