Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Alabama

i opened a loan on a truck around - 2007 it was a Colorado, - truck i paid over 4 years around - dollars a month i got sick and ask to refinance at this point they put it back at 6 years for - dollars monthly i paid on it a year and half and i lost my father which in turn effected me greatly i started having alot of problems with the truck and it had around - miles i called the credit company and told them i would turn it in and they said i had paid quite a bit of money and they understood.three months went by and some lady called and said she was investigating a stolen truck and she was with the police dept. when i told her where the truck was she hung up and i called back it was a cell.they evidently picked up the truck and auctioned it off for around - dollars now all of a sudden i have this on my credit report with what i paid and auction its nearing - dollars for a - dollar truck please i am trying to rebuild my credit i am on - please help me i did not - them they made there money plus -
