Amex Credit card department,
Fraudulent charges by American Express Travel Insurance were made on my American Express Card. I purchased airlines tickets on - different airlines for myself and a friend, on - -, 2015. When I viewed my statement there was several charges for baggage, travel delay and accidental death. I contacted the company and told them multiple unauthorized fees were charged for a non-covered person and myself. I was told effective - -, 2015 anyone traveling on my account would be covered. I never received a notification regarding the new rules. After speaking to several people the baggage and travel delay charges were removed but to this day they have refused to credit my account for the ( - ) Accidental Death charges. Insurance Representatives claim they received airline charges after - -, 2015. I believe my airline charges were deliberately withheld until after - -. I have spoken to several people and emailed an executive at American Express who has not responded to my email. A couple of representatives I spoke with by phone went out of their way to help me get a refund on the AD & D as I had for the other charges but were unsuccessful in getting a refund from the Insurance Division. I have been a long term customer of American Express and have never encountered a problem, any concerns bought to their attention were promptly handled.
