Credit monitoring or identity protection account terms and changes
Equifax Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Account terms and changes California
As a victim of identity theft, I had no choice but to put on a credit freeze with all three agencies. Now when I need to refinance my home and put on a temporary lift of the freeze Equifax forces a $10.00 fee for this. Why? What do they need this money for? It 's simply not fair. This is not a service they are providing me! This is protection of my identity so that I can function in commerce despite the awful system these credit reporting agencies perpetuate. I have no choice in this matter. Why must I pay $10.00 to protect my credit and lift this freeze. This service should be free!! This is yet another unfair burden on the People.
