PNC Bank N.A. Mortgage department,
FHA mortgage Application, originator, mortgage broker Ohio
-/-/2016, after having been turned down for a conventional loan through - -, I contacted Senator - - 's office for assistance in obtaining a mortgage refinance. I was sent to the Ohio Dept. of Housing and then to the FHA office in - After speaking with the FHA representative, I stated my situation and the FHA representative did not understand why I was turned down for the loan and that I could get an FHA approved loan and that I just needed to pick a bank. The FHA representative also stated that they wanted a manual underwriter review because of pre-existing circumstances and concerns. I asked the FHA advisor if I could apply for an FHA loan with - - because they already had our information and could transfer it to the new loan. He replied that I could try. I then contacted - - again and stated to the original loan originator for
The - loan originator seemed nervous when I told that I had contacted these - offices. I told him that the FHA rep said there was no reason why I should not be approved and that I could apply for an FHA loan because I was concerned that - said they could not do anything for me. He replied " Yes, you can apply. '' I then told him that I did not have time to waste and that if - knew they would n't approve me for the loan that they tell then - and that they not drag out the process only to reject me again. I told him that I got a personal loan from - - to cover the expenses incurred because of - 's rejection of my conventional loan, and that I wanted to add $10000.00 onto the FHA loan to cover that cost. He replied " Absolutely. It will not be a problem. '' All the paperwork was finished. I received an email that it went to the underwriters, and I was told that they contacted the title company to request pay-off from PNC Mortgage, and that it would be out of underwriters on - -, 2016. This email led me to believe that the loan was approved and that we could expect a closing date to be assigned, so I did not make my - payment because I was led to believe that the title company had called for the pay-off and I did not want a discrepancy in the pay-off figures. I thought I was doing the right thing. The title agency apparently did not call until - -. PNC informed them of the pay-off amount and stated that the - payment was not made. The loan originator from - called me and told me that we were turned down for the loan because the - payment was not made. I informed the - loan originator that I did not make the payment because I was led to believe through emails that you had already called for the pay-off and that it was coming out of underwriters and that we would have closing date that was during the - payment. I also told him that I had the money to make that payment. He informed me that it was my responsibility to make the - payment and that the underwriters will not approve the loan. I contacted PNC and explained why I missed the - payment. I explained the situation with - and requested that PNC remove the late payment from my record. PNC said that it did n't matter what you were doing with - and that I was responsible to make the payment to PNC. PNC stated that I should file a dispute claim with PNC Mortgage. I believe PNC 's unwillingness to remove the missed - payment is because they do n't want to lose the loan. Now that - has misled me, and now that PNC has reported that I missed this - payment, it will be nearly impossible to finance this house and improve my current situation.
