My father had credit monitoring with Equifax and the monthly charge came out of our joint bank account. He passed away in -. In -, I called Equifax , told them he had died, and asked them to cancel his account. They told me they could n't talk to me and that he would have to cancel the service. I explained that, being dead, he really was n't going to be able to do that and they refused to cancel the service. I contacted my bank to try to stop the charges, but as of yesterday, they have charged the account again.
